Low plant with filiform, diffusely branching, glabrous stems. Leaves are small and nearly orbicular in outline, measuring 0.25–1.25 cm long and 0.5–1.5 cm broad. The lamina is palmately cleft half-way down into 5–7 broad obtuse lobes with crenate margins and a cordate base where basal lobes are almost in contact but not overlapping. Both surfaces are shining, with the upper being glabrous and the lower possessing scattered coarse hairs; petioles are ascending, filiform, 0.75–5 cm long, and glabrous, while stipules are membranaceous. Inflorescences consist of very small, few-flowered, compact, globular umbels borne on solitary peduncles (0–1 cm long) that are usually shorter than the leaves. Flowers are minute (4–8 per umbel) on very short or absent pedicels, subtended by minute, oblong involucral bracts. Sepals are absent or inconspicuous, and petals are greenish-white and valvate in bud. The ovary is orbicular and glabrous with filiform, divaricate styles. Fruit is suborbicular, measuring approximately 0.75–1 mm long and 1.25–1.5 mm broad, glabrous with blunt ribs and no oil-bearing cells.
